If you are among the almost SEVENTY PERCENT thinking of making some sort of change, here are some important dates to know in the state of Wisconsin.
Dates and deadlines:
January 24 - 30, 2022 is National School Choice Week. Check out this excellent guide to Wisconsin schooling options.
February 7 - April 29 is Open Enrollment, the annual window in which Wisconsin parents can request fall transfer to a different public school district. This also applies to free public virtual schools in other Wisconsin districts.
February 1 - April 21 is the application window for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program, which provides free private school tuition for eligible families at participating schools. Area participating schools are St. Paul's Lutheran in Menomonie (with very few spots currently available) and many religious schools in surrounding areas like Eau Claire.
Now is the time to start thinking about any changes you want to make in your children’s schooling for fall 2022.
